JS5 Screenshots

This is the best Vedic Astrology Software, Best Jyotish Software. You’re gonna love it.

Here are screenshots from JS5, some of them were taken earlier. Scroll down til you find some you like.

In JS5, as shown at left, you get things done by using a variety of Open Windows, not just one.

Here, we have the

Chart list, Quick View, Classics Library, and List of Chart Lists... all  Open. It remembers where you left them, and their size, too.

JS5 has the most Awesome set of helpful learning tables and reference pages you’ve ever seen!  You can open them onscreen while working, from a drop down Menu.  You can print them.  In fact, you can print any window.  If you need to look up something, you won’t need to look through books;  Many things are listed here in the program.

The Online Help system is based in an HTML browser format.  So, the help comes up with features like a web page, meaning, as shown above, it can include pictures and text to make it’s point more clearly.  Emailing NO LONGER can be done from within Jyotish Studio. That feature had to go because the language stopped supporting it.  But this is the online help system, it includes pictures and text, is web based.

Birth Data Entry Window

As you can see, well, what can I say, she has it all, the buttons, the fields, the colors, the dash, charm, style and grace. Ladies and gentleman, could you enter data onto this window over and over, I ask you?

Seriously, like it’s predecessor, JS5 has a complete built in atlas.  That means, it knows everything below the Country field above.  You enter up to Country, and in many formats for date and time!, and then IT fills in the Long/Lat and Time Zone stuff.  No worries!  It knows what it’s doing fully !

It’s got an Oldies Channel !

Classical Jyotish Books Reference Library

Yes, many Classical Indian Jyotish books are built right into our Classical Reference Library. Look at the tabs, there are many ways to access the information which can be quoted out as well.  You can do simple and complex word lookups across all books.  You can add your own books which will be fully indexed and thus instantly searchable !

When you double click a chart, it Opens.  You can Open More than One.  Open a Whole Family !  One Window Each !   You’re not limited to one.  You are also not limited to the Glyph Icons shown here. You can use Letters for Planets, Numbers for Signs. It’s up to you.

You can also open the same window multiple times, for the same chart.  You might want to view their dashas in three formats, as shown here... lame example, but it has it’s uses at times... like say transit windows... many different events.. one on each window maybe...  The point is with JS5 you have AMAZING powers of FREEDOM in opening many windows, copies of windows, so you can do what you want, check out what you want without losing anything and more.

Above what you see is JS5 running in Vista,
in VMWare’s Fusion, on my Macintosh.

As you can see, one can have Southern Charts, Northern, Wheel.

On this tab of the Settings Window, you can control what planets are called in JS5, and if you want, you can improve on my planet balls by pasting in new ones, make ‘em a good 3/4 inch across at 72 dpi and paste ‘em into the little fields above.  One column has black background, one has white, honor that.  The signs can be done too.  They are less used.

Above is the default chart window, on the left 2/3s of the picture, and on the right, is the palette, which has been stretched to fit the spot, as many windows in GJ will stretch and become larger for easier viewing convenience.  This program has a modern interface !

Above on left is an optional time/ephemeris/calendar window, top middle is the chart list, bottom middle is the Classical Ref. Library, overlaying it is the small “list of chart lists” window, and on the right is the QuickView window.  The outer shell is Windows XP.

These are the books that are contained within the Classical Reference Library. You can read them by chapters within a book, copy and paste the text out if need be, Search for single words, that window is shown next below, and then you see the Chapters tab window, and lastly the Multi Word Search Window. In these ways, you have total access to find what you want to read about from classical books.

Slider Transit Window Control Feature

Here is the slider itself, on the Transit tab of the Transit Window. When you slide it as I am here in this photo, you see a large black background rectangle at the top, that tells you the date and time you are currently on… this changes as you slide forward or backwards as you go.  This is so simple, it’s literally like a gas pedal, the more you slide it, the faster it goes, and in reverse to
