Some Facts about the Album ... :-) we R 1
First, I majored in music, but never finished college, instead became a monk.
I met the Hare Krishna’s, by trying to buy a reel to reel tape deck from their Berkeley temple, following an ad in the paper. Music connected me to Hinduism in the first place!
The song “I’m With Everything” is COMPLETELY spontaneous. I turned on the recording software, microphone, etc., and started it up. I plucked a note, and started playing, then I just made it all up, on the spot. The first take is the take you hear. So basically you heard me write the song. I don’t know if this is amazing, but if it is, it’s natural, and therefore, I can’t really brag about it.
In fact only the first 3 songs are really “written” ahead of time at all. The rest, either the first music track or the lyrics, or both, were made up on the spot. So it is a heavily improvised album. It is however fully listenable. I have not included any outright obnoxious garbage(?). I think it is a reasonable album in terms of background, modern, mostly new age sounding or ballad sounding. None of it is heavy metal or very strong or forceful. Reality spins can be danced to, as it has a driving beat.
I made a few of the songs years ago, fully on a keyboard, playing all parts, including Thought Stream, Frisco Headlights and Kriyoung.
View from Jupiter is interesting in that it is two tracks of me playing a deep double barreled flute while humming also, and I have a deep humming voice. So, the result is amazing, like an Om souring through space.
Resignation was made after the Mumbai hotel attacks.
