The Amazing MutatinG
Chart Window !

The Chart Window in GJ 3 is AMAZING because you can shape it many ways, and save those Window Styles, and then flip them, and the window just mutates very fast into each form.  This is very useful, because you control how it looks, and you can set up how many and what charts show, then save that, then make another, make all your favorite “views” and then you can flip through them at will anytime, naming them whatever you want, like maybe “4 Northern” or “Big Rasi Only” or “Red Transit 2 Ring”....

These are a few examples of the Chart Window changing from one Saved Window Style to another.

The above six pictures are the Same Chart Window INSTANTLY changing as I select some of my Saved Window Styles.  It shows the Power !

This particular Saved Window Style is interesting.  It shows how you can have up to 6 charts together, and how each can be a different style, background picture, glyph type, and so on.  You can save the Chart Styles too, because you have control over their elements as well.  You can make the charts how you want, and save those as styles, then combine those into a window, and save that whole Window Style.  Then it’s all re-call-able any time, for any body you enter, so you can really customize the program very fully in this area.

And while I show a lot of color, you can have totally plain black and white if you like, or gray, or whatever... that’s the POINT.    WHATEVER. !

The Chart Window can be like the Above, which is when it’s in “All in One” mode, or it can be just charts, like the 6 or two or single charts shown in the pictures previously.  So the Chart Window is quite mutable.

In this incarnation, the “All in One”, you also get the planet list and dashas windows built in.  These are also separate windows, that can be opened separately, but here it’s all incorporated, because we often need these basics all at once in basic viewing of charts.

Again, the above shows North and Glyphs, but you can have it any way you like, Southern with names !  Names in the dasha list !

When in Tri Wheel mode, you can have up to 3 rings as shown. You can have 1 or 2, or 3, showing.  Notice one ring has a different type of planet glyph, namely, English Letters.  Notice in the Palette at right that is what is being selected by the Mouse Pointer in the Picture.  See the little Yellow Menu being pulled down to “English Letters”....  Notice the Red Ring indicating we are on Ring 2, which is also at the Top, as the name of this Tab on the Palette.  It’s VERY powerful.  You control nearly everything.

On Southern Charts, when you are learning, it is helpful to be shown where the Signs are.  GJ3 accomplishes that task as above, with the Art Charts feature, which provides various forms of the Southern chart with the signs drawn in as part of the background.

Here, what you are seeing is:

I have right clicked on a planet in the chart, and a menu appears.

Notice it says “Das Goravani’s Jupiter”.  This is information for the planet I clicked on, using the pop up menu format to really just provide a viewable list of data quickly that also does away.  The only line that selects anything actually additionally, is the bottom line.

The bottom line “Info/Readings” takes you to a small window shown in the next picture.

Here we see the Info/Readings window has appeared from Right Clicking on a planet.

Now I am Right Clicking INSIDE the text area of the readings window and showing you a pop out menu that appears.  Notice all the thins you can do with the text in the window.

This menu, appears wherever in the program you find a serious block of text, giving you visual and other important controls.

Great interface, lots of features.

Above is simply a printout of 4 of the Color Charts.  The point is to show you that you can arrange a window, and then click the “Print these charts” button on that chart window, and this is what you’d get, if this is what you had arranged.  Gradiant backgrounds do not print, however, that’s one sad fact.

Below are some Full Size Images of the Chart Window

Notice in the above picture that the Palette at right has been made larger.  In GJ3, you can simply drag the corner of most windows and the contents will get larger as shown here, to make it easier to see.
